Da Hvangill hut a Porsmork hut con cima Rjupnafell

Our tour continued and again we woke up early we loaded up with luggage and set off on a dirt road in a lunar environment towards Porsmork hut. It rained overnight and this morning it is cold and after 4 5 km we have a first ford to do. VERY COLD WATER.

We restart and continue on dirt road and trail along the Laugavegur until we make a loop over a canyon with crazy colors and waterfalls.

We pass by a small hut and the weather turns for the better so we drive and enjoy this beautiful part of the trail towards Porsmork hut. In the program I had studied in good weather was the detour just before Porsmork ala summit of Rjupnafell that they were beginning to notice. A pyramid that seemed inaccessible and awe-inspiring.

After another ford we unloaded and hid our bags in the vegetation and unloaded we climbed to the summit of Rjupnafell. The route to reach it passes along a gorge with a ridge trail then exposed, until the foot of the pyramid already worth the digression.

The climb to the summit steep and with a.section on the challenging finish with bike on the back added even more value to this fantastic adventure....

From the summit view of the glaciers we would cross the next day was tear-jerking.

The vertical and really difficult descent challenged and thrilled us greatly,really tough!

As we retraced the trail from approach we rode and enjoyed our bikes like crazy.

Back to the bags we headed to the lodge where we arrived around 8pm capping off another epic day.
