SANTA MARIA DEL GIOGO AND MONTE RODONDONE

A classic climb to Santa Maria del Giogo: this time we leave Sarezzo and head towards Polaveno where we turn right to begin the last stretch that will lead us to the sanctuary. At the next junction the Way of the Cross begins immersed in the beauty of this place until we reach Santa Maria del Giogo. Spectacular skyline and we take a breather. We start again downhill on the Nistisino trail first flow then crisp on foliage until we reach Via Nistisino. From here gradually begins the second climb on first paved road with good gradients then dirt road to the Gorges. Now we will have a pedaled and pushed section until the final stretch that from Cà Brusada will take us to the top of Monte Rodondone. Here again skyline show. Let's be very careful because now we will have to descend from the south side. First section very crunchy and with some fast pushing relaunches, then the ridges with views of Lake Iseo then gradually softens and we return to the small square before Santa Maria del Giogo. We turn left onto N.311 which starts very flowy and agile then becomes rocky but firm, a section of mule track then again firm stones and traffic circles with a final vertical that will take us to Gardone Val Trompia. Final footbridge and we return to Sarezzo where we started. Recommendation: don't do this if it is raining or if it rained a lot the day before. Have a good raid.
